I use this app while driving and sometimes I’ll be driving in areas with poor or no cell reception at all then I the app just stops and spins like it’s trying to load more data.
Wi-Fi or cellular service is needed to generate more audio when using online voices. The app prepares some audio ahead, but playback may pause and buffer if reception drops and that audio runs out.
For driving through areas with poor reception, please try:
Turn on Seamless Playback (Beta) in Settings and increase the number of prepared segments. Start listening while you still have a good connection so the app has time to prepare the audio.
If Offline Downloads is available to you, download the book’s audio completely before your trip. This is the better option for extended periods without reception.
Seamless’s larger buffer can help with short connection gaps, but it cannot guarantee uninterrupted playback through longer outages.
